The Wanaka A&P Show is a vibrant, bustling example of an important Kiwi tradition. 

More than 40,000 people come to the Show each year to experience the best of rural life in a spectacular lakeside setting in the heart of central Wanaka.

Wanaka Wine and Food Festival 

Central Otago’s acclaimed wine and food will take centre stage in Wānaka next year with the launch of Ripe, a new festival for the region.

Relay for Life Wanaka

Relay For Life is an inspirational and fun event that helps people in your community through the Cancer Society’s support services, programmes and cancer research.

Join the Relay For Life as your dedicated team members take turns walking, or running, around the track for the full 24 hours.

NZ's Ultimate Mountain Bike Challenge

The longest and most scenic mountain bike race in New Zealand, the Contact Epic is aptly named indeed!

Choose one of the three circumnavigations of Lake Hawea at 160, 125 or 95 km and enjoy the 100% pure South Island High Country Station scenery on a ride you will never forget.

Southern Lakes Half Marathon and 10km Run

The Southern Lakes Half Marathon and 10km run is an annual event starting just below the Cardrona Ski Field entrance and finishing at Pembroke Park.

This may well be the fastest and most scenic Half Marathon in the country.
